Accenture Classics: Accenture Life Trends 2023

In its Life Trends 2023 report, Accenture describes five trends they believe will alter the life balance between machines and humans and will change the power dynamic between brands and people in 2023 and beyond, specifying what is going on and what is coming next. As a way of illustrating the five distinctly different trends, Accenture designers made use of AI-generated art to help convey their message.

Fintech: What is Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDC)? (McKinsey)

Central bank digital currencies are digital currencies issued by central banks, and their value is linked to the official currency of the issuing country. McKinzey’s report presents the types of CBDCs and their potential benefits. Oded Salomi gives a global overview with local examples.

McKinsey report describes the different types of CBDCs piloted in China, Jamaica, and Nigeria. The article highlights the potential benefits of establishing CBDCs, which include reduced costs, increased speed, and greater access for those without bank accounts.

The IBM Security X-Force Threat Intelligence Index 2023 tracks new and existing cyber security trends and attack patterns. This report is a comprehensive collection of their research data from January to December 2022, provided as a resource to IBM clients, cybersecurity researchers, policymakers, the media, and a community of industry professionals and leaders.

Person of the Week: Yariv Hasar, CDO and Tech GM, Pagaya

Yariv Hasar joined Pagaya in 2022, and as General Manager of Pagaya Israel, he manages the Israeli site and the Technology group. In his most recent role, Yariv served as the director of Amdocs’ R&D division, where he managed over 6,000 employees and multimillion-dollar budgets.

Yariv holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in computer science from the Technion and Tel Aviv University, and an additional degree in business administration from Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois.

Yariv Hasar is a lieutenant colonel in the IDF Reserves and brings extensive managerial and technological experience, including the management of the Israeli Air Force’s Technology and Development department.

In a video (30 min.) from the Agile Israel conference in 2021, while still in his previous position at Amdocs, Yariv describes how Amdocs’ global delivery structure, culture & process were designed to adapt to different situations – what were the key elements that pushed them to success, and what they learned from it looking ahead. He specifies the five traits of resilience that can help organizations thrive under extreme conditions: Prepared, Adaptable, Collaborative, Trustworthy & Responsible.

Yariv Hasar is the forth and the concluding speaker of DigitalRosh LIVE the Giraffe series, on 21-MAR-2023.
