1. Learning Method: Richard Feynman’s Notebook
Richard Feynman (1918-1988) was an American physicist who contributed significantly to developing quantum mechanics and quantum computing and won the Nobel Prize for Physics in 1965 for his work in quantum electrodynamics.
Feynman believed that learning should be an active, engaging process. He had a notebook to manage his learning. In that notebook, he recorded the things he wished to learn about. It served as a way to stay engaged with the learning process and deepen his understanding. He named it “Notebook of the Things I Don’t Know About.”
The notebook was a tool for him to continually challenge himself, stay curious, and maintain a lifelong love of learning.
Feynman once said: “You keep on learning and learning, and pretty soon you learn something no one has learned before.”
Thanks to Geri Mendelsohn for sharing this item about Feynman’s Notebook method.

2. Optimistic View: AI Will Save the World (Marc Andreessen)
Last week we brought up the statement on AI risk and this week we bring you an opposite point of view. Marc Andreessen, co-founder and general partner of Silicon Valley venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz thinks that AI can be used to create new products and even save the world.
Andreessen believes that AI will lead to a “takeoff rate of economic productivity growth that is absolutely stratospheric. This will lead to lower prices for goods and services, increased consumer welfare, and new demand in the economy.”

4. Strategy: Thinking Strategy With ChatGPT (MIT Sloan)
As business strategists, Christian Stadler and Martin Reeves – from MIT Sloan Management Review wanted to see what generative AI could add to their work. They explored this question through a series of experiments on different aspects of the strategy creation process.
They derived three key lessons from their experiments which you can read about on DigitalRosh.
Overall, ChatGPT and similar AI tools can be useful in specific steps of the strategy process, such as idea generation and storytelling, but they should not replace the cultivation of strategic thinking.
Experienced strategists should use these tools as aids while applying their own discernment and critical thinking skills.
