1. To Be an AI Leader: Four Pillars You Need in 2025
It is 1900, and the first cars were built here. Most people are thinking, “Car → replacing horses.” You are thinking “→ suburbs”.
It is 1991, and Tim Berners-Lee is demoing the World Wide Web. Most people think “internet → faster regular mail.” You are thinking, “Internet → e-commerce, ala Amazon.”
It is 2000, and mobile phones have been introduced. Most people think “mobile phone → phone without wires.” You are thinking “mobile phone → easy navigation,” which will lead to firms like Waze, GetTaxi, and Uber.
It is 2025, and artificial intelligence is here. Most people think “AI → better search.” You are thinking, “AI → ???”.
Well, I wish I had known the answer. The truth is we simply do not know.
What we do know is that it is our responsibility, as leaders, to envision and shape the future. This is the essence of leadership, as Alan Kay famously said: “The best way to predict the future is to invent it.”
Thus, with renewed focus and determination this year, we are honing in on what AI leaders need—presented through four essential pillars: Newsletter, Knowledge, People, and Tools.
Newsletter — Regular insights and updates about leading in the AI era.
Knowledge — A growing repository of over 2,600 “sparks” from the evolving knowledge base at digitalrosh.com.
People — Facilitating communities, including specialized groups in technical AI, healthcare, and the shared MindLi Global network.
Tools — Practical hands-on tools for AI leaders (including our platform, MindLi, to enhance human thinking.
In Q1 2025, we will further refine our offerings. Visit our site, explore the content, and share your feedback. Feel free to reply directly to this email—we’ve removed the no-reply system to promote open communication.
