1. AI Concept: How to Address the Complexity Gap? Structured thinking is a must (Wisdom 2.0)
Tristan Harris, co-founder and president of the Center for Humane (and the primary subject of the Netflix documentary “The Social Dilemma.”) talks at Wisdom 2.0 focusing on the rapid advancement of technology and its impact on society.
He discusses how technology outpaces our ability to control it and emphasizes the need for wisdom to steer it responsibly. He introduces the concept of the “complexity gap,” where the increasing complexity of global issues surpasses our ability to respond effectively.
He stresses the importance of designing technology that respects human vulnerabilities and promotes shared understanding while in reality, the opposite happens. The tech giants built on human weaknesses to spread misinformation, addiction, and polarization.
Tristan discusses the role of individual responsibility and the importance of wisdom, self-awareness, and systemic thinking in navigating the complexities of the digital age.
This talk was recorded in 2022, Tristan’s concerns and analysis were proven right and his ideas are more relevant today (May-2024) than ever.

2. Review: Andrew Ng On The Opportunities in AI (Stanford)
As founder of Google Brain and former chief scientist at Baidu, Andrew Ng has unique insight into the AI field. Ng’s talk “Opportunities in AI” reviews the subject from several points of view and presents his understanding of the key drivers of the AI industry’s future.
Ng refers to 3 points of view:
- The average person
- AI startups
- Businesses adopting AI
Key ideas in Ng talk:
- The potential of AI as a general-purpose technology with many potential applications across industries.
- The centrality of supervised learning which he believes will be the dominant tool going forward
- ‘No-code / Low-code’ tools make AI more accessible and hence play an important role in creating the long tail of AI applications.
A list of the important video Bookmarks, created by Sunil Ramlochan, an enterprise AI Strategist, can be found in DigitalRosh.

3. Case Study: The Dire State of Intel .. What Happened?
Once upon a time, Intel was by far the strongest player in the semiconductor industry. Fast forward a few decades, and Intel is in a more pathetic state than ever. One of the main reasons for this is that Intel became stagnant after conquering the consumer CPU market.
Intel is still dominant within this market despite competition from Apple and AMD, but the real problem is that the chip industry has grown to be much larger than just CPUs, and that’s where Intel has really lost the lead.
This includes mobile chips, machine learning chips, crypto mining chips, and of course AI chips. These industries are where companies like Qualcomm, TSMC, and Nvidia were able to far outshine Intel leaving the semiconductor giant in the dust.
This video explains the fall of Intel and the future of the chip giant.

Get to Know Plan Mode
In MindLi, you organize your thinking using Boxes. As a reminder, Boxes are your digital storage spaces, allowing you to organize and categorize your Sparks. There are two types of Boxes – Root Level Boxes and Nested Boxes.
- Root Level Boxes – Your main Boxes – the subjects/topics/fronts of what you defined as your thinking objectives.
New Boxes automatically become Root Level Boxes unless you choose to place them inside a different Root Box. They then become Nested Boxes. - Nested Boxes – These are the sub-boxes placed inside Root Boxes. You can choose the different categories and sub-subjects to place inside your Root level Boxes.
A New Feature under Plan Mode is Bulk Add Boxes where you can create a set of Boxes and Nested Boxes in one screen. It becomes very useful if you are about to start a project – you can add all the Boxes you would need
Reorder allows you to arrange the Boxes in the order convenient for you, based on your priorities and focus. You can set the order of the Root Boxes. Nested Boxes are always in alphabetical order. If you wish to set it differently give them names starting with the ABC or 123.
