On Nov-15, DigitalRosh had the pleasure of hosting Prof. David Perkins to be its first key note speaker in the DigitalRosh Live – “Weaving Digital” series.
Prof. David Perkins is a founding member of Harvard Project Zero. He is a Professor Emeritus of Teaching and Learning at the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
Prof. Perkins coined many terms in the area of learning, thinking, and doing. He has been accomplishing this for over 50 years, starting with AI at MIT, Harvard Project Zero, and global organizational learning.
In his lecture, Prof. Perkins presented debates, challenges, and ideas about our way from formal education at school to becoming a “Person Plus” who keeps on learning lifelong. Thinking, planning, absorbing knowledge, and personalizing it are some ingredients that comprise lifelong learning. The era of information and the digital tools weaved into our lives change the role and the methods of learning.
