DigitalRosh and the Technion opened 2023 with a special event “Metaverse or AI – the Future is Here!”, combining content, networking, and fun, and is designed to kick off the year for digital leaders.
The event (in Hebrew) took place on January 19, 08:30-15:00, at Planet, Rishon LeZion, in Israel.
We were very happy to meet with over 200 digital leaders. Some of them are old friends but some of them are new friends.
The agenda included gathering, networking, breakfast, and demonstration areas under the guidance of the DigitalRosh mentors: ChatGPT area

Keynote lecture by Prof. Yesha Sivan: Metaverse or AI, the Future is Here! followed by the panel “The CEO’s Angle: Artificial Intelligence in General and ChatGPT in Particular”. The panel, moderated by Jacob Eilon comprised:
– Merav Ash, Head of Business Development EMEA, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Amazon AWS
– Dani Shavit, CEO of the Lubinski Group
– Toni Cohen, CEO of Maccabi Dent
– Brigadier General Omer Dagan, Commander of the Lotem Unit, ICT Division, IDF
– Esti Peshin, Director of the Cyber Plant, Elta-IAI
Ido Yavnai led the demonstration areas where the invitees experimented a little with AGI and learned in Oculus Metaverse. Thanks go to Eyal Farkash, Dr. Levi Shaul, Elad Goldman, and Yarden Yardeni who demonstrated AGI tools, and to Tamar Ben Ari, Shalhevet Segal, and the group of students who showed a class in Metaverse.
After the demos, eating, and networking (schmoozing,) Prof. Sivan gave his keynote lecture: “The AGI Elephant” which gave context and laid out the status of technological development. The CEO panel addressed technology in business issues – each in their field. We ended the day enjoying popcorn while watching the movie Avatar: The Way of the Water.
