Users can now pose queries in plain language, benefiting from LLMs’ understanding capabilities while obtaining results directly from Data Commons, complete with source links. This approach not only improves user-friendliness but also addresses certain limitations associated with LLMs concerning factuality.
Data Commons relies on over 200 public data sources, covering a wide range of domains and 194 countries. However, data availability is not uniform, with greater accessibility for some regions, such as the US and India. To fulfill its mission, Data Commons actively seeks data contributions and partnerships to expand its coverage. It operates as an open-source project and collaborates with organizations and nonprofits to facilitate data-driven decision-making and address societal challenges effectively.
