Productivity has gotten a bad rap. It’s become synonymous with hustle culture, never-ending busyness, and the opposite of what makes us come alive. Tiago Forte brings a different approach, and based on that he developed a method to manage a productive life.
Forte suggests thinking about productivity as a building. There are four pillars at the corners of that building. Each pillar fulfills a critical function in modern life:
- Digital Calendar
- Task manager (or digital to-do list),
- Digital notetaking
- Read-later
To make sure all is tied together he suggests a weekly review. It’s a ritual to finish every week with a sense of completion, finality, and fulfillment, and start the new week with clarity and purpose, not based on wishful thinking but on thoughtful preparation.
Based on this concept Tiago Forte developed a system to support this idea and a course to learn how to use it effectively. See more on this concept at Pillar of Productivity.
Tiago Forte is derived by two main questions:
What’s Your Productivity Potential?
How can humans reach their creative potential?
He researches and develops his ideas about ways to organize our digital life under the roof of Forte Labs.
