As part of the community meeting on “Technologies in 5, 10, 15 years” on March 1, 2022, we invited community members to answer a survey. We wanted to hear what are the most interesting technologies for them and to learn their level of acquaintance with various new technologies. Over 100 members answered the survey and we thank you for your time and attention.
The results gave us direction in building up the lecture for the meeting, and more. They mainly help us to adjust the content of our website and the topics for the community events to the interest of this community.

Cloud, cyber and AI technologies are the most familiar to the survey participants. Green energy also seems at a relatively high level of acquaintance. It is, however, surprising to see that despite the hype of the Metaverse in the media lately, the participants show a relatively low level of knowledge about this topic.

What technology would you prefer to hear more about?
From the list of technologies in the survey, AI clearly takes the first place in the level of interest among the survey participants. We believe that people are interested in AI because of its extensive scope of usage and the depth of impact artificial intelligence has in all areas of life.
In second place – the Metaverse. The great desire to learn about virtual worlds is, in our understanding, an expression of the gap between the high media profile of the subject and the low level of knowledge, which was reflected in the survey. The “bionic human” technologies that fascinate the imagination are unknown and arouse a lot of interest.
The results of the survey will be used to focus our site’s future content and topics for community activities. Thank you all.
