The Network and Information Security (NIS2) Directive is designed to increase the level of cybersecurity in Europe. The NIS Directive, established in 2016 and enforced in 2018, aimed to ensure high-security levels for network and information systems across the EU. It mandated security measures and reporting responsibilities for operators of essential services and digital service providers.
Companies have until the 17th of October 2024 to comply.
