The OMSCS motto is Accessibility through Affordability and Technology. Indeed, Dr. Galil and his colleagues, with the financial aid of partners, succeeded in building an online, affordable, yet beneficial, and accredited MOOC-based degree in Computer science.
Engagement, support of a community, and students’ control over their studies led to the success of OMSCS and inspired other universities to follow.
