Prof. Varda Shalev about Data and AI in Medicine

In a talk given at the Israel Export Institute conference, Prof. Varda Shalev is discussing her work in using data and artificial intelligence to predict and diagnose medical conditions.

Her team has developed an algorithm to predict colon cancer using CBC data, which they have implemented and have seen successful results. They have also developed a tool using voice files and analyzed text data from patient visits to family physicians to build a new ontology for diagnosing symptoms.

Another project involves using pathology images to diagnose prostate cancer, with the algorithm proving to be as accurate as a pathologist.

Prof. Shalev believes this work will lead to a breakthrough in the healthcare industry and she and her team are continuously working on improving and expanding their AI-powered solutions.
