The Health Benefits & Business Potential of Digital Therapeutics (McKinsey)

Digital therapeutics are clinically validated software-based interventions designed to prevent, manage, or treat medical conditions.

McKinsey’s article discusses the potential benefits of digital therapeutics for health outcomes and business. These include the ability to reach more people, provide more personalized treatment, and gather valuable data on patient behavior and outcomes.

Additionally, digital therapeutics offer a significant business opportunity, such as taking advantage of trends like the growing focus on patient-centered care and the increasing use of digital health technologies.

McKinsey outlines eight key elements to ensure successful digital therapeutics solutions, such as regular monitoring and feedback, personalized coaching, and health education.

Digital therapeutics offer great potential to improve health outcomes and reduce costs, and their development and implementation may represent a large business opportunity.

In the third decade of the 21st century, healthcare is extensively digital. The COVID-19 pandemic further accelerated the adoption of digital technologies by the medical sector, while at the same time, state-of-the-art digital tools helped humanity to overcome the pandemic and speed-up vaccine and drug development processes.

“The Future of Digital Medicine”, managed by DigitalRosh in partnership with the Technion, is a unique 10-week course that covers the latest developments in healthcare technology and data science. Led by Prof. Noam Shomron (Tel Aviv University), the course features guest lectures, peer learning, and discussions with leading Israeli digital medicine professionals.

This course is designed for healthcare and life sciences professionals seeking to gain practical knowledge and skills in data-driven medicine. Early bird pricing is valid until 28-Feb-2023. Special discounts and scholarships are available for DigitalRosh PRO members.

What Is the Future of Work? (McKinsey)

The future of work is changing. According to a report by McKinsey Global Institute, it is expected that one in 16 workers will need to switch occupations in the next decade.

Job growth will be concentrated in high-skill jobs such as those in the healthcare, STEM, and green economy sectors, while middle- and low-skill jobs will decline. This shift has been accelerated by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The report also looks into HR’s role in the future of work, the impact of remote and hybrid working, and the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion. These topics will play an important role in the future of work and in preparing for what’s next.
